Ni hao, guten tag, hola, bonjour, and howdy.
I have been using a Mac for about 2 years now. I've got a PowerMac G4 Cube, and I think its one of the best designed computers ever made. It does everything I need it to do except CAD work, but then there aren't any major CAD packages for the Mac anyway, so that's not really an issue. I prefer to do any web development on my Cube, but I've used NotePad, FrontPage, and FirstPage on Windows (I prefer NotePad of the three). Ok well I prefer to do as much as I can on the thing. I've used Windows since 1993, but decided that Mac OS was the way to go after messing with the beta of Winows XP. If someone would port Solid Works to Mac OS I would be very happy.
I work for a professor in the Mechanical Engineering department, and I've worked on design projects, reverse-engineering, parts cataloges, web development, and document conversion. Email me if you want me to send you my resumé. I primarily use Solid Works for CAD, but I've used PRO/E and AutoCAD as well.
You're welcome to check out the two sites I listed above, but I don't really update either one as often as I would like. I also cooked up a site while I was working in France last year, OutOfArkansas. It details my travels and also has a journal of what it was like to live and work in France. I apologize for the pop-up adds; I can't really do anything about them, so just use a good browser.
When I'm not studying, I try to get out and climb as much as I can. I mostly just top-rope and do some sport. I would like to get into trad, I just can't afford all the gear just yet. Don't know what any of this means? Try RockClimbing.com. Backpacking is also a favorite past-time of mine.
