In what may turn out to be the last PowerPC revision of Apple PowerBook line, Apple today updated the very overdue lineup with several enhancements:
- New, higher resolution displays: 15" = 1440x960, 17" = 1680x1050
- Standard SuperDrives on all models
- Standard backlit keyboard on 15" and 17" models
- Standard ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 128MB DDR memory on 15" and 17" models
- 15" now 1.67GHz
- Larger HDD capacities (up to 120 GB)
- One extra hour battery life on the 15" and 17"
Overall, a fairly modest upgrade when you look at the pricing. All models ship within 24 hours.

Apple's all-new iPod has now been fitted with the capability of playing videos. Specs are as follows:

New iMac G5

The already robust iMac G5 has a new refreshed design. In addition to the computer becoming even thinner, Apple has added a built-in iSight camera that resides right in the bezel and bundled a remote for controlling a new application called Front Row. Tech specs are as follows:

- Processor: 1.9GHz and 2.1GHz
- Bus speed: 633MHz and 700MHz
